Its smart-pathing system allows for superior maneuverability and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient, although it can get stuck on rug tassels.
During our tests, we discovered that the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively. It was able to eliminate a large amount of debris on floors that were not bare, and a fair amount on medium-pile rug. It was less efficient with shag carpets. It struggled to get at dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It was capable of maneuvering around the legs of chairs and tight spaces as well as the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. It was a bit slower on floors that were not paved however, it was able to recover speed and did better than other robots we have test.
