The best self-emptying robot vacuum features a base that holds a month's worth of debris and automatically empty. It creates a detailed home map, allowing you mark rooms and define "no go" zones.

Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
This is among iRobot's premium models and it certainly performs well. It can easily maneuver across a variety of surfaces and is very efficient at collecting dust, dirt and other debris. It's also well-constructed and looks pretty nice too.
The S9 is the latest iRobot premium S Series robot vacuum. It boasts a few extra features that make it distinct from other models. The iRobot App, for example, use the camera to create maps that assists the robot to navigate and clean efficiently.
You don't need to clean the same spots over and over again when the battery is exhausted. You can manually start and stop cleaning using an audio command, or by using the iRobot App. This smart vacuum is able to clean in the dark!
Carpet Boost is another great feature. It provides the S9 more suction power when it comes into contact with carpeting so that it will pick up more dirt. The unit also has the square front design, which is closer to walls and corners than the older round designs. This model is not compatible well with high-pile or shag carpeting.
During our tests, we discovered that the iRobot S9+ cleaned thoroughly and efficiently a variety floor surfaces including medium and hard carpets. It also worked well with vinyl, and laminate floors. It also did a nice job of maneuvering between furniture and objects although it did struggle with stairs, and can crash into objects like bookcases.
We were impressed by the fact that the S9 automatically returns to its base to empty its dust bin when it's full, which greatly reduces hands-on maintenance needs. The dust bin is expected to last for around 30 loads or a month and half. You'll need to replace the filter every few months (as suggested by iRobot). Like other robotic vacuums, the X8 Hybrid has some issues with floors that are bare. It may miss pet hair and small objects, and it is prone to get into things, like its own charger that sits on its charging base. It's also not as quiet as some other models we've tested, and the whirring sound can be distracting.
Roborock V3S Pro
The robot doesn't have as many features as some of the more expensive models we've tested but it does come with the essentials. It's also super quiet and we could watch television while it was cleaning without feeling like it was bombarding us with noise.
Our testers were impressed by how simple it was to install and use, and were amazed by its ability to take all the mess off their floors. It even did a pretty excellent job of removing pet hair and messes from carpeting, although it wasn't as successful in tackling stubborn stuck-on staining. The app was easy to use and intuitive. They could set up the vacuum to clean frequently to reduce the amount of manual work. The one downside is that it doesn't have any mapping technology or object avoidance, so you aren't able to send it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips are compatible).

It's also a great budget choice for those who want an intelligent, self-emptying robotic vacuum that can handle hair and pet messes on floors made of hardwood or carpets with a low pile. It's also very quiet and has a large dust bin that holds a lot of debris before it's time to empty it and you don't have to worry about regularly emptying it.
The V3S Pro did not website make it into our top choices lists from trusted sources who perform hands-on tests, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. The V3S Pro was easy to use and set up, however the battery life was not long.
